B2B Site Aggregation
Anyone that has ever worked with B2B data knows how difficult it is to get uniform/clean data and accurately bring all contacts at the same site together. Challenges include:
- Business Name – How many variations AT&T can you create? Not to mention all of the variations on division names (AT&T Labs, Consumer, Small Business, Enterprise – then within each Broadband, Wireless, Networks and Wholesale). Past names (SBC, Ameritech, SNET, Pac-Tel and BellSouth) and acquisitions (Cingular and YellowPages.com amongst others).
- Address – with businesses you are no longer dealing with a single entity per USPS address. The majority of businesses are located in multi-tenant units (multi-tenant commercial buildings, shopping malls, office parks, industrial parks and Government Centers). Each of those locations have their own system for addressing and delivering mail. It could be floor number, suite number, mail stop or variations on street number.
- Individual Name.
- Job Title/Function – often comes in on the record with no standardization for location or naming convention. Logic needs to label each field correctly so proper comparisons can be made on matching.
